Enjoy Fresh Air and Flowers: Tochigi and Ashikaga Tour

Enjoy the traditional townscape of Tochigi and wine in the southern area of Tochigi Prefecture

Since the Edo Period, Tochigi City flourished as a prosperous merchant city. At Ashikaga Flower Park, don't miss the 150-year-old wisteria, designated as a natural monument by Tochigi Prefecture. The wisteria blooms from mid-April to mid-May. This area is rich in history and nature, where people can enjoy fragrant wine and flowers.

Check Point

The area now known as Tochigi City thrived as a town connected to Edo (current-day Tokyo) by river transport. The old town where warehouses are still preserved has a nostalgic air.

Coco Farm & Winery was established by Noboru Kawada, who also founded Kokoromi Gakuen, a facility for intellectually disabled people. Their wine is served with first-class meals and airport lounges of ANA and JAL airlines.
