Light Line (Haga・Utsunomiya LRT) Tour
Future mobility city with LRT
As we are facing a declining birth rate and a super-aging society, Utsunomiya City is developing a public transportation network centering on LRT in order to ease the traffic congestion to the industrial park in the east area, and also to enable people who can’t drive to move around the city easily.
This is the first time in Japan that an entire new line of LRT is constructed rather than extending or improving an existing line.
Check Point
▶You can see the inside of the vehicle and the inspection and repair garage which is normally not allowed visitors to enter.
▶The interior of the vehicle uses roll curtains inspired by Utsunomiya's traditional craft “Miyazome” and flooring inspired by Oya stone.
※The contents of the tour may be changed at short notice due to company's convenience.
Please be responsible for your own transportation costs to the LRT rail yard.
