Visit Moka Power Plant, Kobe Steel, Ltd.

Japan's first full-scale gas-fired power plant built in an inland location

The Moka Power Plant is Japan's first full-scale inland gas-fired power plant.
Its power generation method is a gas turbine combined cycle system, using city gas as fuel. A significant feature is the adoption of an air-cooled condenser for its cooling system. The Moka Power Plant has a power generation capacity of approximately 1.25 million KW and boasts a power generation efficiency of over 60%, which is among the highest levels in Japan.

Check Point

●Experience AR (Augmented Reality) at "Mirain" the facility located next to the power plant. 

●Take a bus tour around the power plant premises. The tour includes a stop beneath the "Air-Cooled Condenser (ACC)," a key characteristic of inland thermal power plants. 

●Guided tours are provided.
