Utsunomiya City Sightseeing Course
Explore the Oya History Museum (Japan Heritage Site) and Stroll Through a Beautiful Bamboo Grove
Visit a museum to understand more about the history of Oya stone mining in northern Utsunomiya City. Then go for a stroll through the largest bamboo grove in Japan. This one-day course allows you to enjoy many activities, including lunch and sake tasting at the Oya History Museum.
Check Point
●The Oya History Museum is built inside the former Oya Stone Quarry. These massive ruins cover some 20,000 square meters up to a depth of 60 meters with an average temperature of 8°C. It's reminiscent of an ancient Roman temple, and you'll be overwhelmed by its powerful presence and mystical atmosphere.
●Four Seasons Bamboo Forest Wakayama Farm is located in northern Utsunomiya City, located behind the Nikko mountain range. On this 24-hectare bamboo grove, visitors can go digging for bamboo shoots and chestnut picking.
●Half-day tour plans can be arranged.
