It only takes 40 minutes to arrive at Nikko from Oya. Upon arriving, you'll be able to visit Nikko Toshogu Shrine, Rinnoji Temple, and Futarasan Shrine.

Check Point

The Oya district is full of Oya Stone's sightseeing spots, including the Oya History Museum, Oyaji Temple, Oya Kannon (Buddha statue), and Heiwa Kannon.
Nikko is famous for its UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Shrines and Temples of Nikko). Most famous among them is the Nikko Toshogu Shrine. This shrine is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the shogun whose rule marked the beginning of Japan's Edo period (1603-1868). The shrine was enlarged during the reign of the third Tokugawa shogun.
